Our Mission
The greatest lack for children growing up in state care is stable, predictable human relationships built on acceptance and love. The emotional security that comes from these relationships is essential for their development and for them to be able to live independent, balanced lives later on as young adults.
Today in Hungary, every 69th child—around 23,000 children in total—grows up not in their own family but in state care. Of them, approximately 7,000 live in institutional settings that are unable to provide enough affection, care, or social and emotional security. Without these, they are at high risk of being pushed to the margins of society.
