The emotional security that comes from these relationships is essential for their development and for them to be able to live independent, balanced lives later on as young adults.<br><br>Today in Hungary, every 69th child\u2014around 23,000 children in total\u2014grows up not in their own family but in state care. Of them, approximately 7,000 live in institutional settings that are unable to provide enough affection, care, or social and emotional security.
